Directions and Parking
Getting to Texas A&M and the H.R. Bright building:We have teams coming from several directions - rather than give specific directions to College Station from all cities, feel free to email John Keyser (keyser@cs.tamu.edu) for suggestions from your city.
If arriving to College Station via Highway 6, take the University Drive exit, heading toward all the businesses (there is very little the other direction). Continue down University Drive. Texas A&M will be on the left after crossing Texas Avenue. You will be taking the second left hand turn to enter campus: Bizzell (the same street has a different name, South College, to the right). If you get to McDonald's, you've gone too far.
If arriving to College Station via highway 21, take the turnoff for Highway 47 as you approach town. Highway 47 eventually merges with FM 60/Raymond Stotzer Parkway/University Drive. The University will be on the right. You will be taking one of the last right hand turns to enter campus, Bizzell (the same street has a different name, South College, to the left). It's right after the McDonald's and Chipotle (which are on the left).
From 5:00 Friday on, you are free to park in any open lot on campus. You should NOT park in any numbered or reserved space. Once on Bizzell, taking the first left will bring you to two good lots: Lot 50 is the large one on the left, and lot 51 is the one down a bit (after lot 47) on the right. Do not park in lot 47, since it is all reserved, numbered spaces.
One closer lot, which often is the first to fill, is lot 54. The contest will be held in the H.R. Bright building. The Bright building and the three lots you can park in are marked on this web link: Bright building and parking.
Note that portions of Ross St., including parts right in front of the H.R. Bright building, are currently closed. Also, if any teams would prefer a garage space (at a cost), the Northside parking garage is available for visitor parking. Please contact John Keyser if you need further directions to the Bright building.
